Guy grip also called a preformed dead-end clamp, or termination clamp is compatible with AAAC conductors and galvanized steel guy wires. The preformed fittings are supplied for conductor terminations, and stay terminations. The guy grip should be the correct size for the conductor to which to be fitted and be of adequate strength for the purpose for which is intended. The preformed fittings are unable to slip whilst in service.

Preformed terminations, also called guy grips are suitable for use with stay strand (stay wire) to BS183 and of the specifications required by clients. The guy grips are manufactured from galvanized steel wire of such quality that when applied to the specified stay strand, the grips should hold the full rated breaking strength of the stay strand.
The galvanized steel wires used in the construction of the guy grip comply with the requirement of BS443. The guy grips should be heli-formed to be quickly made and present a neat finished appearance and have a long-term performance conmmensurate3 with other fittings used in the buying applications, such as stay insulator, stay thimble. The guy grips are capable of being removed and re-applied to the original position on the stay strand up to three times for the purpose of stay adjustment during line construction procedures.
